Almost 6 years have passed since I had the longest vacation in my life. My Tita flew me to NY to bake my Uncle's 70th birthday cake.
I remember I did several cheesecakes.

and the main cake was a chocolate mousse with my Uncle's photo on it.
I just turned 25 then, a happy-go-lucky yuppie in Ortigas. Although it was already over a year since I got my license as a professional architect, everyday was still the same since after graduation: Go to work, CADD and couple of bottles in between and/or after work. I was working to drink.
I didn't really have a sane mind (then). I thought I didn't have a reason to fly back so soon so I decided to stay a little longer and visit my friends in California & Florida. From October 2004 to February 2005, I was going to and fro the east and westside of America.
Boredom hit me several days after. Everyone was going to work and I was left by myself. Probably Tita Annie saw that and asked me to renovate the room of my 3 cousins. She gave me enough $$$ and I started right away.
I so so so so love going to the home depot. I can stay there the whole day looking at the smallest screw and imagining an assembly. SO STIMULATING.

My first attempt to do a hanging cabinet wasn't so bad at all.
I also did some electrical works for the track lights.

WINTER IN CALIFORNIA
I went to California to celebrate my SBF's 28th birthday. I flew in sooo early though, six weeks early.
We sure had lots of time for a road trip from Orange County to San Francisco without any pressure, hence we were able to stop on all the interesting places along the way.
In between trips, I was asked to design a "Belen".
I cannot remember why I did a Torii,
a Japanese gateway.
but I remeber having Baby Jesus in red to represent FIRE in the spirit.

at 2am in the morning, I was pumping balloons in the garage, and arranging the house,
so very carefully not to wake up anyone.

I also visited a friend in Florida.
We went for a cruise in the Bahamas.
During our 4-day cruise,
I was successful to convince her to renovate her room.
